So the main theme for the week continues to be warm and mostly dry.ĪVIATION. Hints of the upcoming rainy season are starting to show, but this week's conditions suggest coverage is still generally not likely to be as much as one would expect once the rainy season really starts to get going. As more of this moisture lingers and sinks farther southward on Thursday and Friday, more coverage across inland and SWFL is possible, continuing for the days to come thereafter. The first day that really has this potential is Wednesday, likely confined farther north and inland in closer proximity to a very weak boundary and a slight increase in vorticity. However, an increase in moisture is expected by the middle of the week, beginning to bring some potential back for diurnal convection. Visible satellite and sounding data from this morning show a relatively dry atmosphere remains in place, and that is likely to continue for the next couple days. Little change at the surface is expected in response. A fairly zonal pattern with weak ridging is expected to amplify through the week, giving way to even stronger upper-level ridging across the area. Even so, daytime highs are expected in the upper 80s to lower 90s with water temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s.Ī flavor of this easterly flow is expected for the duration of the forecast period, given the overall persistent and increasingly summer-like upper level pattern settling in. However, the flow is relatively light, allowing the sea breeze to propagate inland from the west coast each day, moderating temperatures somewhat. In response, the background low-level flow continues to remain out of the east as well. Upper level ridging continues to build in from the west as a surface ridge axis remains in place to the east. ![]() Winds and waves higher in and near Thunderstorms.Īrea Discussion for - Tampa Bay, FL (on/off) Help NOTE: mouseover dotted underlined text for definitionĪrea Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin FL 303 PM EDT Mon May 8 2023ĭISCUSSION. They have boat docks so you can get there by boat if you wish.GMZ830 Tampa Bay Waters- 306 Pm Edt Mon May 8 2023 Kids can be entertained by a loop/string game on the dock and spotting fish in the water. This is definitely a local fave for good reason! They can accommodate larger parties but expect a wait. We never mind the wait though as there is a dock you can walk along and spot dolphin from time to time. They have a tiki to get a drink while you wait as this place is popular and does not take reservations. They have a few local brews, wine and of course soda/water. You can also sub shrimp for the fish in the tacos for a bit more. Their dedication to locally caught, fresh seafood is one reason we go. If you are looking for salmon- look elsewhere. All the seafood is fresh caught in the Gulf. ![]() They are attentive and they get your order right or they make it. The sunsets are spectacular! Service is always good. There is a wonderful view of the intracoastal waterway- even from inside. This has become our "go to" place when the weather is nice.
